1.  Go to www.procon.org.  Choose an issue to see the pros and cons.  Write a short summary of each issue, using at least 3 reduced adverb clauses to contrast the pros and cons.

2.  Vocabulary quiz on Thursday, 5/18 (Vocabulary from p. 194-195)

How to make a reduced adverb clause of contrast:

1. The subjects must be the same in both clauses.
2. Take away the adverb and subject.
3. Change the very to the -ing form.
4. Add in spite of  or despite.
